Letter to My Role Model Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Letter to My Role Model, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Dear Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Sir,

I hope this letter reaches you in the divine Words universe, where great souls continue to shine. Even though you are no longer with us physically, your words, your dreams, and your humility still guide millions of young hearts like mine.

Today, I want to write about you not as a famous scientist or the People’s President, but as the mentor who shaped my thoughts from a distance.

You once said, “Dream, dream, dream. Dreams transform into thoughts, and thoughts result in action.” These lines have become the heartbeat of my life.

Whenever I feel unsure about my path or doubt my abilities, your words remind me that every great journey begins with a brave dream. You taught us that dreams are not what we see while sleeping, but those that keep us awake with purpose.

Sir, what inspires me most is not just your brilliance as a scientist, but your humanity. You rose from a humble background in Rameswaram, yet your wings touched the sky and beyond.

You worked day and night for India, building missiles, nourishing young minds, and proving that true greatness lies in service. Yet you always remained gentle, kind, and approachable to every child who looked up to you.

Your life has taught me that success is not about fame, but about commitment to our nation. Whenever I read your books, especially the ‘Wings of Fire’, I feel your warm motivation whispering into my heart.

You often said, “If you want to shine like a sun, first burn like a sun.” This reminds me that hard work and sacrifice are not optional; they are the stepping stones to excellence. Whenever I face difficulties in my studies or personal life, I think of this quote. Becomes my source of strength.

Sir, the values you lived by – discipline, dedication, honesty, and compassion have become guiding stars for me. I admire how you combined science with spirituality, ambition with humility, and power with kindness.
You didn’t just teach us to succeed; you taught us to be good human beings. You showed us that a true leader does not command from above but inspires from within.

Your vision for India still echoes in every young Guide dreamer. “You have to dream before your dreams can come true,” you said, and those words continue to light the path for millions of students, including me.

I want to be a part of the India you imagined, a nation of innovation, courage, and compassion. I want to work hard, not just for myself, but for the betterment of society, just like you did.

You are my role model, Sir.

“Let your life be a message that inspires others to
dream bigger.”

With deep respect and love,
Megha,
Thank You!!!
