1) Evelyn Glennie is a multi-percussionist being hearing-impaired.

2) She was born on 19th July 1965 in Aberdeen of Scotland. Her father's name was Herbert Arthur Glennie and her mother's name was Isabel Glennie.

3) Due to a nerve problem, she started to lose her hearing from an age of 8.

4) She has been profoundly deaf since the age of 12 and cannot hear a word.

5) Evelyn was well determined and wanted to learn music.
