Dears, I am very excited to get a chance to share a few words about the importance of International Nurses Day. May 12th is an important day . Because on this day, the world pays honor and tribute to all the nurses around the world. It is the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is considered the founder of modern nursing. As you know, she is also known as the 'The Lady with the Lamp who roamed in the night to care for the wounded soldiers.
On this special day, I wish to greet all nurses present here. You are the backbone of our healthcare system. I wish you all to have a great day.
On this occasion, I want to bring to your mind that, what are the roles of nurses and their hard work in society.
Dears..The nurse is quite a familiar word, we all have heard of it. We have seen nurses in hospitals and nursing homes. She wears a white uniform in which she looks smart.
Of course, she is a symbol of Nobility, Understanding, Responsibility, Sympathy, and Efficiency. Yes, that is a NURSE. In simple, She is a treasure of dedication and hardworking.
She works very hard during the day and night. Her job is very tough, she is busy the whole day taking care of patients. Sometimes she does not sleep throughout the whole night.
She visits the patient under her care when she is called. She feels their pulses, takes their temperatures, and gives medicines or injections as per the doctor's instruction.
She also dresses the wounds of the injured. She is kind and loving, always smiling and cheerful. Yes, she is soft-spoken and sweet to all, miles away from the anger, woes, and worries of life.
You know, many lives have been saved because an attentive nurse picked upon early warning signs of an upcoming crisis like cardiac arrest.
Yes, you are the angels on the earth. Thank you for being on the front lines of care, your kindness, dedication, and your healing touch. We are so grateful and We are proud of you.
I conclude my simple speech by quoting Florence Nightingale, founder of modern nursing Nursing is one of the fine arts: Yes... 'It is the finest of the fine arts.
