US Educations is Differ from Other G20 Countries: Know the 5 Ways

Now everyone is taking for granted the performance of the United States on a global test. Like the program for international student assessment by saying that, has a different educational context. So it's time that everyone needs to know how it is different from other industrialized countries.

According to the sixth comprehensive International comparison report, the statistics of the national centre of educational statistics, here it is not compared with the G8 countries. But it is compared with the G20 countries. These G20 countries include Brazil Canada Argentina China Australia France Indonesia Japan Italy Germany Republic of Korea UK Russian Federation Turkey ki and Mexico.

Leaving aside test scores, the data show some interesting areas. Where the United States seems to stand out from other industrialized countries. For example:

Apart from the test scores (via NCES’ International Data Explorer), here we are going to show some interesting data. That helps you to understand that the United States stands out from the other industrialized countries. So let's explore some data and understand the facts: 

1. U.S. Kids Tend to Start School Later.

The result was started for young children's in other G20 countries students used to go to school earlier as compared to the United States. This research was done in 2011 where 90% of students of other countries in G20. The G29 includes France, Germany, Italy and the UK started going to school for formal education by the age of 3 or 4.  But in the United States, the average age to start formal education is around 6 years.

The enrollment rate of US students of three to four years was around 64% higher than the other countries of G20 which includes Indonesia and Turkey. And for the Russian Federation, this number is 73 % higher.

2. US Students shows lack of interest about Reading

One more interesting fact found in the United States about reading.  According to NSEC data internationally, Girls enjoy reading uniformly as compared to boys. This survey is conducted on fourth-grader students in 11 different countries. The question was that the students found the reading boring or they have to do it when the reading time is there or they feel happy when they got a book as a gift. The gender gap in the US is 13% which is quite the middle of the road. 

But the odd one that we have found in this research is that the less interest of American students in reading. It is a very low number, only 33% of girls and 20% of boys show interest in reading. America has a lower rate as compared to the majority of the countries. The students from other countries showed lower interest in reading as compared to Americans are girls in Italy and Russia and the boys of England, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. 

But when it comes to other subjects, 44% of girls and 45% of boys enjoying Mathematics. It does not show any gender gap. This status has been shown based on the student of the 8th grade and it is a bit higher as compared to the other countries.  Therefore, there is no difference between the boys and the girl when it comes to mathematics.  The data is based on a 2011 study, by the interesting facts that this number has increased and there is a sign of improvement from students' attitude. Due to the teachers' push, more students are showing interest in technological subjects such as engineering and maths.

American students have shown less interest in reading but they are also less interested in writing since they started looking for professional assignment help to get good grades in exams.

The lack of enjoyment in reading is not a good sign but considering……..

3. The United States has the highest specialist as compared to other countries

It is quite Ironic that American students show a lot of interest in reading as compared to the other countries. Moreover, there are more reading specialists in America than in other countries. American teachers showed less interest to see if a student would grow out of reading problems. When you compare them to the other countries studied except Australia and the United Kingdom.

US reading teachers are more satisfied with their jobs just like other industrialized countries. But, there is also one thing that needs to come to the notice that the US teacher has shown the biggest drop in interest and job satisfaction. It was found in the research of any G-20 country since 2006.  Moreover, this number has decreased in 2011. The percentage of teachers who taught fourth-grade students are less satisfied with their jobs.  This number is continuously digging and the teacher less likely to do their jobs.

4. American Teachers Get The Higher STEM Professional Development.

The G20 countries asked teachers for training in various subjects in the last two years. These subjects are Math’s, Science pedagogy assessment or integrated information technology. US is the only country where students are taught by those teachers who received math’s training. In force grade, only 68% of teachers have professional development in math content but this is the highest rate of any countries studied.

Therefore, we can say that the only countries are the United States and Russia are the only countries where the teacher's of 8th-grade students have participated in Science professional development in all four fields that is content pedagogy testing and Technology integration.

5. The U.S. Education Expenditure on Per Student Has Higher But Has Mixed Graduation Rates.

The United States Paints around $11,800 on each student till class 12th and for the college student, they spend around $25,000 per student.  This is the highest expenditure on education compared to other countries. It includes both types of expenditure on the student and the teacher expenditure on classroom materials. This expenditure also includes many other things such as the teacher salary, classroom materials and many more things.

However, the above statements are enough to say that the US has mediocre High School rates as compared to other countries such as China, Turkey and Mexico.  And it is lagging behind the other developed countries such as Canada, Germany, Italy, Korea and the UK.
