Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan is the Hindu festival that celebrates brotherhood and love. It is celebrated on the full moon in the month of Shravan in the lunar calendar.

The day is all concerning Raksha or protection, not just for self but for the dear ones, for the peaceful existence of the human race. Each ritual that is followed has significance. The sisters get her love from their brothers, the brothers seek courage and endurance. Individuals revere the Gods of water, the premise of life.

The word Raksha means protection or whilst Bandhan is the verb to tie. Traditionally throughout the pageant sisters tie a rakhi or bracelet manufactured from interlacing red and gold threads, around their brothers' wrists to celebrate their relationship.

This string, which throbs with genuine love and grand approximation, is appropriately called the Rakhi.

This ritual not solely strengthens the bond of affection between brothers and sisters but also transcends the confines of the family.

The importance of Raksha Bandhan is mainly the same as other festivals in India.

The celebration of Raksha Bandhan is marked by happiness and excitement, particularly for young ladies and girls.

Preparations for the pageant begin well earlier. On the Raksha Bandhan day, the festivities start by the daybreak.

Everyone gets prepared early and gathers for the worship of the deities.

In the wake of conjuring the endowments of the Gods, the sister plays out sibling's arti, puts tika and chawal on his brow and ties Rakhi among reciting of mantras.

Then she gives him sweets and lots of gifts.

The brother accepts her offerings and vows to require care of her and be by her facet within the time of would like.

As a token, he proffers the sister a comeback gift and bonbon.
